How to register: Please download the program registration form and waiver. Please do not fax forms in without payment. Call if you would like to pay over the phone or mail the forms in with a cheque. You are confirmed upon payment (cheque or via the phone with Visa or Mastercard). If you need forms to be mailed out please give us a call.

INTRODUCTION TO LAKE CANOEING 2008

Our intro to Lake Canoeing course is designed to introduce the basic lake skills to newcomers. Lessons will include an orientation to the equipment, basic paddling skills: strokes, getting in and out of your boat safely, steering and basic on water safety. 

Session 1: May 21, 26, 28   7:30-9:00pm. 3 - 90 minute sessions held on Glenmore reservoir.
Fee: $70

INTRODUCTION TO WHITEWATER KAYAKING 2008

Join us for a 2 sessions on the Glenmore Reservoir, 1 pool session and 1 out trip to the Bowness Eddies. Reservoir sessions will include an orientation to the equipment, basic paddling skills: strokes, getting in and out of your boat safely, basic on water safety. At the pool session we will cover wet exits and introduce the roll.  All paddling equipment provided.

All transportation and equipment information for the pool session and out trip will be covered in the first session. The Canoe Club does not provide Wetsuits. A wetsuit is optional for the river session but a good idea.

Session 1: June 12, 19 Glenmore Reservoir 7:00-8:30pm,
June 17 Pool session: 6:45pm-8:30pm, Glenmore Pool
Out trip June 21 at the Bowness Eddies 10:00am –3:30pm (details to be provided).
Fee: $150

INTRODUCTION TO BASIC KAYAKING 2008

Join us for a 3 lesson introduction to the whitewater kayaks. Lessons will include an orientation to the equipment, basic paddling skills: strokes, getting in and out of your boat safely, and basic on water safety. All classes are scheduled for the Glenmore reservoir. We do not have any pool sessions or river trips scheduled with this intro course. 

Session 1: June 9, 11, 16   6:00-7:30 pm. 3 - 90 minute sessions held on Glenmore reservoir.
Session 2: June 9, 11, 16   7:30-9:00 pm. 3 - 90 minute sessions held on Glenmore reservoir.
Fee: $70  
Additional sessions will be added to the schedule based on interest and availability to do so.


INTRODUCTION TO OUTRIGGER 2008

Mandatory for all new paddlers wanting to join the outrigger program at the Club, this course offers an introduction to outrigger paddling basics. Outrigger paddling is a competitive based program. Novices are welcome to join and try it out as a new sport. Paddle for fun, fitness or competition.
 Course consists of two 2 hour sessions.   6:30pm – 8:30pm.

Fee: $40 (if you sign up for the outrigger program $40 will be put towards the fee). 
Session 1: Tues, Thur May 13,15
Session 2: Tues, Thur June 3, 5
Additional sessions will be scheduled throughout the season.
