Thanks to all the teams that participated and helped make the 17th Annual Voyageur Charity Cup a success. The weather cooperated (to the minute) which made it even more enjoyable. As usual we had the odd minor collision – thanks for taking care to not really collide hard.

Twenty-two teams entered the Voyageur Charity Cup this year. The Canoe Club is proud to announce a donation of $1920 to the United Way. Tax receipts will be forwarded to the individual teams once the United Way has processed the paperwork.

Once again we are asking for your feedback. Please forward any suggestions or concerns you have about the event to the Calgary Canoe Club. Our voyageur committee will review the feedback to ensure we make next year's race even better.

Consider the following:

• Was there enough prior communication prior to the season? During practices? In preparation for the races?

• Did you receive enough help during your practice sessions? Would you prefer more coaching? Would you be willing to pay for it??

• Did the race run smoothly? Was the course clear? Are you happy with the awards and other prizes offered?
