Camp details:
Participants will learn the basic skills of paddling as a team in dragon boat. We will practice dragon boat 1-2x each day getting ready to race on Saturday in the youth division (no racing Sunday, August 9th). Other activities during the camp include an introduction to recreation kayaks & canoes, dry land games and the war canoe; our sprint racing team boat.
Festival details:
The camp fee includes a team T-shirt, no additional cost for entry into the Festival. We will mix up our teams with new and more experienced Calgary Canoe Club paddlers. We anticipate 3 races throughout the day. Plan be on site from 9-4pm, schedule TBA. More information on the Festival to follow. Participants will be supervised during the day by CCC coaching staff and have a team tent set up. Parents are encouraged to attend and join us on race day.
