SPRINT RACING TEAM
The Sprint Program is the Calgary Canoe Club's competitive sprint racing team, offering a place for every paddler — from age 9 to world-class, and from your very first stroke to the podium.
Competitive Pathways & Key Events
Whether you want to paddle for fitness, race for fun, or compete to win, our athletes perform at every level:
- U14: Prairie Divisional Championships (early August)
- U16 & Older: Canadian Championships (late August)
- High Performance: Canadian Team Selections (May and June)
- Canada Summer Games: Every four years, Calgary Canoe Club athletes make up the core of Team Alberta.
Proven Success
Consistently ranked among the top 10 clubs in Canada, our team has produced numerous national finalists and podium finishers, with paddlers regularly earning spots on Canadian national teams for international competition.
Coaching & Equipment
Our coaches help every athlete build physical fitness and technical mastery across all boat classes — from singles, doubles, and fours to the C15. Training takes place in a safe, fun, and supportive team environment.
