Spring Camp Update - California

California Camp Moves to Mission Bay.

Hi everyone,

Thank you to all who submitted the camp interest form — it’s helped shape this year’s California Training Camp. Based on responses, we’ve finalized housing, costing, and logistics for our move to Mission Bay, San Diego.

Mission Bay is home to the San Diego Canoe & Kayak Team and is located near the Canadian National Team Training Centre in Chula Vista, offering a great opportunity for shared sessions and high-quality training conditions.

Based on the 15 athletes who responded, we’ve secured three waterfront homes (males, females, and coaches). Each is fully furnished and positioned within walking distance of water access and amenities. The full kitchens will ease meal preparation and lower cost due to shared meal planning.

Camp Cost Estimate

The cost to attend camp is based on two components: the Shared Cost (split equally among all athletes) and the Weekly Stay Fee. A 5% buffer is included for exchange rate changes or unforeseen expenses.

All fees must be submitted using the standard four-payment schedule. Families needing alternate arrangements can contact us directly.

• CCC credits from fundraising can be applied.
• If Provincial asssistance provided, this too can be applied.
